HID iCLASS Cards & Readers
Make sure only authorised people can access your premises or areas with state-of-the-art smartcards and readers from HID. These cards and readers use proven, reliable technology to offer a consistent read range that’s unaffected by body shielding or variable environmental conditions.
iCLASS Smartcards
From biometric security to cashless vending, these cards deliver unparalleled performance. You can add a magnetic stripe, barcode, or even photo identification directly on the card. The iCLASS smartcard meets all ISO standards for thickness so you can use it with all direct image and thermal transfer printers.
High data integrity means the iCLASS technology ensures strong security with mutual authentication, encrypted data transfer, and 64-bit diversified keys for read/write capabilities. You can add more security with DES or triple DES encryption.
Multiple securely-separated application areas are each protected by 64-bit diversified read/write keys, which allow complex applications and provide for future expansion.
Security mechanisms such as mutual authentication and encryption are efficiently combined with fast processing and data communication, resulting in transaction times of less than 100 milliseconds for a typical secure e-purse transaction.
iCLASS Readers
iCLASS smartcard readers give you enhanced security through data encryption and mutual authentication between the card and the reader. It’s a powerful, versatile way to control access to your premises.
iCLASS readers are energy-efficient and secure, and an auto-tuning feature automatically adjusts the reader for optimal read range performance on any mounting surface.
Key features of the iCLASS solution include:
- Security: Readers and cards require matching authentication keys to function and all data transmission between the card and the reader is encrypted using a secure algorithm.
- Elite custom keys: Cards and readers are uniquely matched to individual sits or customers andare non-interchangeable for increased security.
- Audiovisual indication: Tone sequences signify access granted or denied, power up, and diagnostics so visually-impaired users can easily distinguish between access granted and access denied, while a high-intensity light bar provides a clear visual status indication even in bright sunlight.
- Easily interfaced: The reader’s Wiegand output easily interfaces with most existing Wiegand and Clock-and-Data protocol access control panels.
